Thoughts about being a NWF Player?

“I enjoy being a NW Flyer because no team I have ever played for in the 51 years I have played, is run more efficiently, with more positive results than the NWF.  Players are like minded winners, with a passion for the game, and a camaraderie that extends into  personal lives.  Without you guys I would have retired years ago. God bless all past & present NW Flyers and their families.”  Tos

The NWF 40 player of the month is  #13 Chris Toczyl (Tos).  Chris is starting his 18th year as a NWF player.  He currently plays for the NWFII and the NWF40.  However, Chris has played and been a major contributor at all NWF levels throughout his career. My best description of Chris and his contributions each and every game that he straps on the skates for, is underrated.  He doesn’t get near the credit he deserves for protecting our D zone and for his willingness to step up in the O zone.  He is a great skater, battles hard in front of the net, gets to the corners, blocks shots, and he has helped us score goals.  What gets the least amount of recognition, is his leadership skills.  Chris will always voice his opinions and suggestions throughout the game and in the locker rooms.  He constantly recognizes others for their efforts.  He knows the game inside and out and helps us win games.  His contributions have helped the NWF 40 win 4 championships.  Chris is not only a great hockey player, but he is also an even greater person.   Congrats.
