Thoughts about being a NWF Player?

“I love being a Flyer. It’s a good group of guys and everybody wants to win.”

The NWF 40 player of the month is  #66 Henri Ilus. This recognition is long overdue.  Henri joined the NWF40 in 2018. Just in time to help us win the 2018 Spring/Summer session championship.  Henri is one of the teams franchise players.  He finds the back of the net every game, most games multiple times. He plays center for the NWF40 but he is capable of playing any position. Except goalie and  that’s only because  nobody would be able to get him to stay in such a small area of the ice.  He wants to move and that he does.  Henri came to the NWF40 with a set way of playing individual style hockey. He has since adopted a new improved style of team hockey to match the NWF 40 style.  His point total has doubled because of it.  Henri has made some of the most beautiful passes that led to key goals this season.  He plays with intensity and is a voice on the bench when he feels something isn’t going the right way.  When you play at the level Henri does you can expect teams to key in on him.  He gets hacked every night.  He doesn’t waste any time retaliating.  You won’t find him in the penalty box. He fights back on the scoreboard. We are extremely pleased that Henri has chosen to be a NWF. Congratulations Henri!
